Sample of ongoing works examining the object of work. Many of us spend our lives in jobs that do not suit our temperament. We sit at desks doing menial tasks all the time wishing to be somewhere else, but we are tied to work by the need to earn money. We are never taught to have a dream and work towards fulfilling it as children. It doesn't seem important, until we are older and find ourselves in jobs we don't enjoy, with mortgages, bills to pay, children of our own to raise; to exist in reality.... I've used old photographs from a photo album I picked up at a flea market in Belgium, the photographs were taken in 1938, some of the figures are also from this album, the photographs represent the alternative spaces the workers wish to be at rather than tied to their desks.
